A calmer interface starts with fewer decisions

Clear hierarchy, useful spacing, and predictable navigation.

A minimal interface makes the next step easy to identify. Removing elements helps only when the remaining controls still explain what someone can do.

Choose what deserves attention

On an article page, reading is the main activity. The title introduces the subject, the body develops it, and navigation helps someone return to the feed. Sharing and comments should remain available without competing with the text.

Use space with intention

Keep related information close together. Use larger gaps when the purpose changes, such as between an article and its comments. Check the result on a phone and a desktop: equal spacing does not always look balanced at both sizes.

Keep the quiet details useful

Reserve space for images before they load. Make keyboard focus visible. When someone returns from an article, restore their filters and scroll position. These details make the interface predictable without adding more controls.
